


The Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) has granted an amendment to the Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed upgrade of the Hout Bay Roads Depot and associated infrastructure on the remaining extent of ERF 2848, Hout Bay, Western Cape (Ref 6/3/3/1/A6/36/2015/22) in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended). The amendment is for the extension of the validity period of the EA.
The amended environmental authorisation was issued on 14 July 2026 and reasons for the decision are outlined in section B (Page 3) of the amended EA. A copy of the Amended EA can be downloaded below.
