Infinity Environmental is an environmental management consultancy based in the Western Cape, South Africa. We provide a professional environmental assessment, management and monitoring service, as well as specialised training, rehabilitation planning, and spatial data management.

We are committed to helping our clients minimise their environmental risks and impacts through expert assessment, mitigation and management. Our principals and staff have a wide range of integrated environmental management skills and experience that enable us to provide solutions throughout any project lifecycle – from inception to construction and operation – as well as specialised services in rehabilitation, management planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Who we are

Infinity is a partnership of motivated, skilled and experienced professionals who offer a range of environmental management and sustainable development solutions to public and private sector clients.

How we work

Our work ethic is defined by value-based solutions underpinned by technical expertise and supported by excellence in customer service.

Infinity is proud to be a majority black female-owned B-BBEE Contributor in terms of the Codes of Good Practice and is committed to the implementation of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment

Environmental Impact Assessment

Activities or developments that need environmental authorisation under the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) are subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

Our experienced environmental assessment practitioners combine best-practice environmental management with unique, client-focused solutions.

Environmental Screening and Feasibility

Unexpected environmental sensitivities or legal requirements can derail any project. We provide due diligence and risk assessment inputs at an early stage, identifying sensitivities, legal requirements, and time and budget implications.

Permits and licences

Developments that release emissions to the atmosphere, use or discharge water, or involve the management of waste may require licensing or integrated environmental authorisations.

Our services include:

Water Use Licence Applications (WULAs) and General Authorisations

Atmospheric Emissions Licensing

Waste Management Licensing

Construction monitoring

From project planning and construction through to decommissioning and rehabilitation, Infinity provides comprehensive construction environmental services.

We compile Environmental Management Plans and Programmes, and provide Environmental Control Officers (ECOs) to monitor and report on environmental compliance.

GIS and Mapping

Geographic information systems, or GIS, are used to capture, manage and display spatial information. Our services include collection, digitisation and analysis of geographic information, and creation of user-oriented products in the form of maps, technical drawings, and base information for environmental, town planning and strategic applications.

Invasive Species Control Planning

Invasive alien plants and animals are a liability to property owners. An Invasive Species Control Plan provides a detailed breakdown of the actions required to achieve compliance with the law, and an indication of the budget needed for implementation.

We are experts in invasive control planning for small landowners and municipalities alike.

We offer Environmental Awareness Training short courses in an EPWP context, as well as specific inductions and training during construction. We also provide training and skills development in invasive species management.

In situations where an activity that would require environmental authorisation has been unlawfully commenced the responsible person may apply for rectification of the unlawful activity through a 'Section 24G' process. Infinity's independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners have experience in retrospective assessment for illegal dumping and construction.
