We deliver environmental impact assessments, water use licensing, heritage assessments, stakeholder engagement, water quality monitoring, and management planning services to clients across South Africa, from local governments to developers, infrastructure contractors, and industry.
We are a growing firm with a substantial and diverse project portfolio, and we are restructuring our operations to support a more scalable and professionally managed delivery model. This newly created role is central to that change.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Manager role based in Cape Town. The Business Manager will oversee operations and finance, including project planning, resource allocation, and financial oversight. Responsibilities will include coordinating project lifecycles, tracking resource planning and utilisation, and maintaining delivery and financial dashboards. The role also involves monitoring compliance with internal processes, line management of the Finance Administrator, and preparing materials for management and portfolio reviews.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in an operations, business management, or practice management role. Experience in the built environment consulting industry is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to own financial tracking and operational reporting in a project-based environment, ideally one with high project volumes, subconsultants, and varied fee structures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable working across project management and financial tools
- Relevant degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field
