NOTIFICATION OF AMENDED ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION - PROPOSED HEINEKEN FACILITY AND MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT ON THE REMAINDER OF FARM NO. 736, KLAPMUTS NORTH

Dear Registered Interested and Affected Party,

You are hereby notified that the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) has granted an amendment to the environmental authorisation and approved the Environmental Management Programme for the proposed Heineken facility and mixed-use development on the remainder of Farm No 736, Klapmuts North in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and the 2017 Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations.

The amended environmental authorisation is dated and was issued on 08 May 2024.

Appeals

You are reminded that an appeal may be lodged against this decision in terms of the National Appeal Regulations 2014 (as amended). A summary of the appeal process is provided in Section D of the Environmental Authorisation (pages 4-5). Should you wish to appeal the decision, you must submit the appeal in writing to the appeal administrator, and copies to the applicant, registered I&APs, organs of state with an interest in the matter, and the decision maker within 20 (twenty) calendar days from the date of this notification.
