Dear Registered Interested and Affected Party,

You are hereby notified that the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) has granted Environmental Authorisation and approved the Environmental Management Programme and Maintenance Management Plan for the proposed mixed-use development, associated infrastructure and the rehabilitation of the Elsieskraal River on erven 10852-RE and erven 10857, Bellville in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (as amended).

The Environmental Authorisation is dated 12 November 2024 and was issued on 12 November 2024.

Appeals

You are reminded that an appeal may be lodged against this decision in terms of the National Appeal Regulations 2014 (as amended). A summary of the appeal process is provided in Section H of the Environmental Authorisation (page 9). Should you wish to appeal the decision, you must submit the appeal in writing to the appeal administrator, and copies to the applicant, registered I&APs, organs of state with an interest in the matter, and the decision maker within 20 (twenty) calendar days from the date of this notification.
